Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

This course is designed to teach you about the Electronic Medical Record/Electronic Health Record for the medical office. With government mandate of the EMR/EHR into the medical office scheduled for 2013, all medical offices/facilities must convert from paper to electronic
medical records.

This course will teach you how to use Practice Partner, the most used EMR software used in the medical office. You will also learn implementation of the EMR/EHR into the physician’s office, troubleshooting, HIPAA compliance and hands-on practical use of this program from both the administrative and clinical perspective.

This course is designed for those already in medical office administration or those looking to enter the medical front office field as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant, Transcriptionist or Medical Coder.

EMR/EHR can be taken online or locally in a few select locations. Class is 1.5 hours for 8 weeks.
